A photo starts almost completely hidden and opens up a piece at a time. The moment you think you know what it is, you type it. The more of the picture is still covered, the more the answer is worth.
Everyone plays every round at once, so there are no turns to wait for. Getting there first does not end the round for anybody else, and nobody sees what you typed, only that you have it. A wrong answer costs you two seconds of silence rather than points, which makes an early guess worth the risk.
Every photo is a real one from Wikimedia Commons, freely licensed and credited to the photographer as soon as the round ends. A full game takes about five minutes.
